The People & Culture Manager is responsible for supporting the strategic success of CARE International in Nigeria through the design, delivery, and implementation of CARE International Nigeria’s People strategy. The position provides both strategic and operational expertise to the Country Director, Country Leadership team and employees on all people related matters including performance and talent management, organizational design and development, engagement, reward and recognition, Human Resource Systems and reporting and change management. The PC Manager is the custody of rules and regulations for staff as well as organizational alignment
CARE has established in Nigeria since 2017 with Country Office in Abuja and Operational Offices in the Northeast to support its humanitarian interventions in Borno and Yobe States. CARE is currently developing an ambitious country strategic plan to support its operations in Nigeria, covering both development and humanitarian program. CARE is implementing health programs, with a focus on sexual reproductive health and rights (SRHR) to address multiple challenges faced by women and young girls, such as sexual gender-based violence, child marriage, and teenage pregnancy, among others. To deliver such a program, CARE works in close partnership with several stakeholders including UNFPA, Different line ministries at state and national levels, local partners, and other peer agencies.
