Programme Manager, SRHR

CARE is implementing health programs, with a focus on sexual reproductive health and rights (SRHR) to address multiple challenges faced by women and young girls, such as sexual gender-based violence, child marriage, and teenage pregnancy, among others. To deliver such a program, CARE works in close partnership with several stakeholders including UNFPA, Different line ministries at state and national levels, local partners, and other peer agencies. CARE is seeking a SRHR Programme Manager to set up related programming and operations, as well as to serve as CARE's representative and strategic lead for all SRHR-related activities within the UN system, the Ministry of Health, multi and bilateral development agencies and with other partners. JOB SUMMARY: The Project Manager VSLA is to oversee the overall activities of BLANK VSLA project projects and ensure quality implementation in close work with partners such as NASNEC & SWODEN in Bauchi and Jigawa state, properly manage relationships with CSOs and lead all Women Economic Empowerment responses. Ensure that those proper processes are in place for effective monitoring and evaluation and in the overall management of the project. I. JOB SUMMARY: The project coordinator is responsible for managing of Blank VSLA project team (Field Officers and MEAL officer) in Yobe state and supporting in managing the activities of partners BASNEC and SWODEN in Bauchi and Jigawa respectively. This team will work very closely with the community, project participants (beneficiaries), State Authorities, LGA Authorities, national and International NGOs, national partners, Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) to ensure effective planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of Women Economic Empowerment activities. The incumbent will ensure that projects are implemented as per the approved proposals and CARE’s programming approach. The incumbent is responsible for preparation of high quality reports in a timely manner.
